A Fairy Party Fit For a Princess

What could be more magical than holding your very own fairy gathering, toadstool rings and all? Take a peek at our inspiration for the most wonderful, whimsical celebration that your child will never forget.

Decoration

This theme is focused on the pretty, dainty and magical. The best possible location to host a fairy party is obviously in an enchanted woodland, but if you don’t have one at your disposal you can bring the outdoors inside with potted magnolia and cherry blossom trees. Create a mossy, grassy carpet and fashion seats out of tree stumps or in the style of toadstools.

Entertainment

The star attraction will of course be the Fairy Queen who will descend to tell fabulous, magical stories, encouraging your little fairy and her friends to dance around the fairy ring.

In the meantime, your little nymphs can busy themselves with the imperative task of fashioning their very own flower head garlands. Pixies will also be able to make their own miniature fairy gardens with a little bit of green-fingered genius as they plant seeds and saplings in little terracotta pots.

Make sure you create further seating areas inside small tipis with gorgeous drapery and cushions, where the littlest members of the party can escape to for a little quiet time if needed.

Food

Not wanting to miss a magical trick, you’ll need to provide a banquet on fairy feasts including snail swirl sandwiches, butterfly biscuits, gnome-made marshmallows and toadstool cupcakes. Think about enchanted gardens and fairytale castles when commissioning a birthday cake, or consider individual toadstool cupcakes that guests can take home with them.

Favours

No party is complete without a decent goody bag and these should be filled to the brim with fairy dust, cupcakes, flower fairy books, and friendship bracelets, for an everlasting memory of a truly magical day. Potion bottles filled with coloured sherbet are suitably magical and, of course, fairy wings for every little pixie to fly home with are essential.
