Your New Year’s Eve Party

It may well be the most overhyped night of the year but if you’re going to be forced to have fun you may as well do it in style! This year, we’re thinking about all the different ways that you can see in the New Year, depending on how bold you feel like being.

The Party of the Season

Got a ticket to the hottest party in town or are you hosting it yourself? Whether out and about or celebrating on home soil, this one’s all about dancing till dawn and embracing 2014 with a giant, passionate kiss. Make sure you’ve got your most fun friends around you – the ones who hear those chimes as merely the start of the evening, not the end – and give the mandate that everyone needs to be dressed to the nines for this shindig. Spend time putting together a playlist that’s never ending, with a mix of music to suit all tastes and levels of sobriety. Just make sure you’ve got somewhere lined up for your survivors’ breakfast on January 1st.

The Dressed-Up Dinner

If the thought of being surrounded by throngs of revellers isn’t how you want to greet the New Year, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t still celebrate in chic style. This New Year’s Eve is perfect for food aficionados as the emphasis of the evening ought to be about enjoying exquisite food, sublime beverages and devastatingly good company. Just because your celebration is intimate and refined it shouldn’t be any less fabulous, so don’t be afraid to luxuriate in fine tableware, sumptuous décor and, of course, glamorous fashion. Isn’t there something divine about wearing your most captivating outfit to your favourite restaurant or even in the comfort of your own dining room?

The New Year’s Eve Ball

This one’s the big one – the no holds barred, no expense spared, all out extravaganza that positively pushes 2013 out of the door whilst ushering in its successor with flamboyant glee. Whether your New Year’s Eve ball is a black-tie-and-red-carpet affair, a masquerade ball or a themed fancy dress wonderland, you need to go big or go home. We want to see full on live entertainment, be that a vast orchestra or a troupe of dancing girls; we want your guests to dine heartily on the most mesmerising of morsels; and we want you all to wake up the next day wondering whether it really happened or you dreamt the whole thing…

The New Year Au Natural

For some, December 31st is the perfect time to take a breath, so put your tuxedo away and strap on your walking boots, wrap up warm and head out into the night to embrace the New Year from your nearest highest vantage point. You’ll see a whole canopy of fireworks for free whilst feeling like to only people in the world as you look down across the beauty of the countryside. Don’t forget to pack a little hamper though, we wouldn’t want you to miss out on the bubbly even if you are busy trekking!

However you decide to celebrate the New Year and whoever you choose to spend it with, we hope that you have a truly magical evening in which to celebrate the successes and tears of the months gone by and leave hope in your heart for the year to come.
